The hats were on and the Queen was out for ladies Day at Royal Ascot.
The Queen opted for her staple monotone dress code, in a summery turquoise hue. She paired a patterned floral dress with a mid length overcoat and the essential Ascot accessory a hat. In royal style she travelled the grounds in a carriage joined by her husband the Duke of Edinburgh.
Even the Queen isn't immune from bad luck, as one of her horses was injured and left the course in an equine ambulance.
